My name is Puamohaluokamahina Nanami Akaka, but you can call me Mahina. The meaning of my name is the blossoming flower under the full moon. I am a proud Hawaiian, Japanese, Chinese female from the precious island of Oahu, Hawaii. I grew up in the ocean surfing, diving, fishing, swimming, and along the mountain ridges hiking and camping. Like many in Hawaii, my parents pushed me on my first wave on a soft-top board. Little did I know back then that surfing would provide me the opportunity to travel around the world. After graduating high school, I set my goals on continuing to wander the world. My curiosity and has led me to beautiful Northern San Diego, California, where I currently reside.
